My name is Steven Warburton and I am currently a Sgt. with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office. I started my k9 career as a search and rescue K9 handler for the Sheriff’s Office SAR K9 team in 2010. I was a handler for approximately 2 years before being hired as a Deputy for the Sheriff’s Office. In 2014 I became a narcotics K9 handler for the Sheriff’s office where I trained and worked three separate K9’s. I later promoted out of the K9 team to Criminal Investigations in 2019. I have worked with SDNA (Search Dogs of North America) as an evaluator and instructor at multiple conferences.
