This lecture is for any Law Enforcement, Emergency Personnel and Search and Rescue Volunteers. If you have any questions, please email info@alphasar.org or register on the form below. Kimberly Kelly is an engaging speaker, and will easily hold your interest for a few hours. We will be specifically catering this class to what a law enforcement officer or search and rescue personnel might encounter or need to know about a missing Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or Autistic person. She has written multiple books and taught many classes for law enforcement regarding approaching, assisting, and safely searching for Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Autism cases.
Topics Covered:
– How to recognize (signs/ symptoms)
– How to assess treat/ combativeness regarding a person with dementia/ alzheimer’s or autism
– How to safely contain, or restrain these cases
– What specific unique questions to ask the family of a missing person to better the search tactics
– What is different about searching for an Alzheimer’s, Dementia or Autism cases, and how to change the tactics
